Dot Rotton coming with a real underdog anthem for the downtrodden in his song "underestimated" which was released back in 2011 and produced by the grime artist himself. The official video is out now, Directed by Jamal Woon & Dot Rotten.
Dot Rotton jumps out the bubble with his new popish single "Overload" and it's definitely something different from his usual. But the reactions from his followers are mixed which divides the fan base. Although a little different the emcee manages to keep his flow and maintain his usual antics on the dance sample. But the realness comes from the lyrics which saves this track from the usual stereotypical mainstream releases. Overload is available to download today.
A Decent collab in the form of Sneakbo, Griminal Dot Rotten and Mic Righteous as their new secret project is revealed to the public, but the video is not your usual hood video as the video is like something of "Skins". So something new, many people are feeling the collab but not the video, still it's something different right?
Dot Rotton is back again, taking a break from his beef with wiley, the grime artist goes back to his roots and resurrects himself but more correctly he resurrects the real feel of grime in his new track. Releasing his anger could be the best thing he has done for the grime scene this year so far and many people see this as REAL grime. Check out the track featured below.
"Grimes Dead fam" is most people's response when the name comes up but is this true? it's been a couple years now, and most of the pioneers of grime like Dizzee rascal, Tinie Tempah, Wiley ect have all jumped onto the commercial Electro pop tip and topped the charts which once shunned them.
Now even some underground grime artists, have made the transition from grime to uk rap with some claiming grime is dead. but does this mean grime is dead? to be honest grime isn't dead its just evolved but at what cost? many people would argue grime is not dead with artist like Ghetts, dot rotten and skepta still holding it up for grime heads and with various promoters also taking part in showcasing grime talent. Once like uk rap, everybody could spit, people would record it on their phones and show their friends, and channel U had a lot of upcoming grime artists in the years 2005-07 era, but has uk rap taken over the scene in uk you decide.
Grime isn't dead though but why is this? well for one there still are alot of grime artists spitting bars, making tracks, and you can't forget the music producers, alot of artists would argue the downloading and no buying rountine is causing the death of the genre, and of course the electro pop grime transition, But if these songs were not bootlegged in the first place would they be as well known and popular..
Also with different countries starting to take interest in the genre and make their own versions could this just be the beginning? Even Diddy (bad boy records) has been having talks with Skepta (On twitter) about working with him, and it's rumoured that diddy likes grime.. still this seems a bit odd. even Canadian artists like Tre mission are producing grime music, would anybody have predicted this before, has grime finally been accepted internationally?
Still you never know as this could be just the start for the grime scene look out for new grime videos on REALLTV coming soon.
Grime Artist Dot Rotten had a tune dedicated to him this week gone but this was no tribute. OG's member Jendor took a rip at Dot sending for him on a undertaker themed background music. Most people feel Jendor has put alot of anger and emotion into this track, Alot more than your average joe.
The main point in Jendor's track imply that Dot Rotton is ungrateful, has disrespected and forgotten N.e(a grime artist and founding member of OG'S, who passed away in 2009) ,one of the people who looked after Dot. Jendor used the WWE undertaker theme As backing, and the track is entitled r.i.p Dot Rotten, when he means the death of Dot does he mean he aims to end Dot's career?
Certain people feel this is just a publicity stunt so Jendor can gain some spotlight, what do you think?
